  15. QuickFile is not Public Domain, however it can be freely distributed
  16. provided all documentation and sample files are included unchanged.
  17.  
  18. QuickFile is a flexible, flat file database. It uses random access with
  19. indexing for fast access to records. Files can be larger than available
  20. ram, but as much of the file as possible is kept in ram to reduce disk
  21. accesses. Features include:
  22.  
  23.     - Multiple indexes with unique and non-unique keys
  24.     - Character, date, integer, floating point and calculation data types
  25.     - Up to 250 characters per field  and 250 fields per record.
  26.     - Form and list style displays and reports.
  27.     - Unlimited number of views of each file.
  28.     - Sort over any number of keys, ascending and descending order.
  29.     - Search operators include Like, Equal, Between, Sounds Like, Not Like
  30.       and Not Equal.
  31.     - Fields can be added, changed, or deleted at any time.
  32.     - ASCII export/import
  33.     - ulti column label printing.
  34.     - Multi-level grouping and totalling
  35.     - Any number of open windows
  36.     - Online context sensitive AmigaGuide help

  40.     Any Amiga computer with 512K or more RAM
  41.     Workbench 2.04 or later

  46. QuickFile will work with XFH-handler (a file compression program) but
  47. XFH-handler requires that the decompressed file fit completely in ram.
  48. To work with QuickFile such programs must support update of an existing
  49. file.

  51. QuickFile is written in C using DICE version 3.0.
